About Us:

Animal Avenue is owned & operated by Brenda Lanners.  Brenda graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Zoology.  She spent 4 years as a professional pet sitter before launching the Animal Avenue VIP Card.  She is certified by the ABKA (American Boarding Kennels Association) as a Pet Care Technician and is trained in first aid and CPR for pets by PetTech.

Brenda has 4 cats: Chloe, a 12 year old gray long haired domestic and Bliss, a 12 year old black medium haired domestic who are litter mates.  Although you'd never know it by looking at them, they had been strays living under someone's patio before they became family. Katie, a 6 year old tiger-striped Tabby, joined the family in 2001.  She was adopted from FOCAS after having been hit by a car.  The newest addition to the family is Misha, a 3 year old long haired Calico.  Misha was found wandering around a parking lot nearly dead from starvation and a fungal infection called Cryptococcus.  The fungus has taken her sight, but she has responded well to treatment and her prognosis is fantastic.   She will live the good life with the rest of the fur family!
